This malt is produced at the Pauls Malt Ltd. plant in Glenesk, Montrose, Scotland. With heavy levels of phenols from locally sourced Scottish peat, it can be used in smoked porters and ales. Peated Malt is made using the same malt production regimes as plain distilling malt, with the reek of the peat from the peat furnace passing through the kiln bed.<\/p>\n
